BTS Universe Story is finally out, giving the ARMY a brand new way to live out their biggest fantasies. The choose-your-own-adventure mobile game allows fans to play between pre-written stories or the opportunity to create their narratives from scratch. If you're wondering how to create your own BTS story—and bring your wildest fanfictions to life—then keep on reading!

Getting Started

Open the BTS Universe Story app. Once the app opens up, click on the icon in the top left-hand corner, which will open a list of options. Click on your username to go to your profile page. Once there, head to the tab marked "Stories" and click on the button that says "Create New Story."

On the next page, you'll be prompted to add a thumbnail, story title, short intro, and synopsis. Once you save your story, it'll pop up under your "Stories" tab on your profile page. Click on that to begin writing your story's first episode.

Click on your new story and then click on the button that says "Create New Episode." From there, you'll be asked to choose between Easy Editor or Expert Editor. Thie guide covers the Easy Editor function. However, once you get comfortable with Easy Editor, you can simply switch to Expert later on. Note Easy Editor-edited episodes can be edited with Expert Editor later, but it doesn't work the other way around.

Choose Your Characters

From there, you'll want to choose your characters and edit their appearances. The game's character customization interface is pretty self-explanatory and comes with a ton of assets to edit your characters' hair, makeup, clothing, jewelry, etc.

In addition to the members of BTS, the game also allows you to create your own original character. There isn't as much freedom with original characters in comparison to the BTS boys, but the game still gives you the opportunity if you want to create a self-insert OC to add to your story.

Make Them Talk

From here, you can write your own dialogue for each of the scenes in your episode. Simply click on the "Add Dialogue Text" box at the bottom of the screen and tap the dialogue icon for each text to change which character is saying it. You can even specify if they're talking to another person or themselves.

The game even allows players to import online spreadsheets into the game to save players the trouble of typing through all their dialogue.

Clicking on the dialogue icon can also let you add narration, change control location changes within your episode, or even add a player choice to the scene.

Preview Your Creation

Save And Publish Your Masterpiece

To save your episode, click on the icon in the top left-hand corner to open a menu, and click the save icon. You'll need to add a title and synopsis, but as soon as you've entered both of those, you can fully save.

To publish your episode, head back to your profile page and go to the "Stories" tab. Click on your episode, and select "Publish Episode" when presented with the prompt.

And there you go! Now you and the rest of the ARMY can play through your masterpiece on the app!

BTS Universe Story is available now for iOS and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play, respectively.
