Rockstar earned its fame with Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, but Bully still has a place in its extensive library of classics. It has been 15 years since the game was released, and now there are rumors floating around that it's finally getting a sequel.

Over the last few years, there have been multiple leaks pointing toward a sequel. Only recently, fans noticed that Rockstar renewed the Bully trademark, even hiring new staff. There was also a rumor floating around that suggesting Rockstar canceled Bully 2 to focus on GTA 6. Some leaks before that also 'revealed' the sequel's artwork but they were declared fake by the original leaker himself. However, these latest developments seem promising - the sequel could be a very real possibility.

“Bully 2 was expected as a potential surprise reveals at #TheGameAwards last week after some people have been shown some material alluding to a reveal soon," reporter Tom Henderson stated. "Information is a bit blurry at the moment, and I have to be quite vague here, but if I hear more I will report on it.” He also added how some people actually saw a ‘playable version’ of the game a few weeks before TGA, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

To cement this further, he also shared a screenshot of a tweet from Gameinformer’s senior associate editor where a Bullworth Academy logo appears. This could be the confirmation everyone needs, but it should still be taken with a grain of salt.

Nevertheless, this is exciting news for the fans who have spent 15 years hoping and waiting for a sequel. Bully was an absolute classic that captured the essence of adolescence in a manner that reminds everyone of their own school days, if a little exaggerated for punchy effect.

The story of Jimmy Hopkins bullying bullies to stop bullying altogether was quite unique, and since there aren’t many games centered around a high-school experience, Bully felt like a breath of fresh air, and it could very well be a breath of fresh air again all these years later.
