Bungie has launched a Destiny 2 Game2Give charity event that's running from February 24 to March 2, but the first two days' donations will go toward humanitarian aid in Ukraine amidst the ongoing crisis.

Russia is invading Ukraine. It has taken Chernobyl, is assaulting major cities, and is currently attempting to breach the capital, Kyiv. There are reports that allege Russia has even targeted kindergartens, apartments, and other civilian buildings. In response, many have tried to flee the country or have gone underground into subway tunnels to seek refuge, using the metro as a bunker from the ongoing bombardment.

Plenty of game developers, whether in Ukraine like Stalker developer GSCS Game World or adjacent like Poland's 11 Bit Studios, have voiced support for Ukraine and denounced Russia's actions. Many are also raising funds to try and help those living in Ukraine who are suffering from the attack. Bungie is one such studio, now donating 100 percent of the proceeds of its charity event.

In the announcement tweet, Bungie also linked to Direct Relief, Voices of Children, and the International Rescue Committee, prompting its followers to donate directly. CEO Pete Parsons also took to Twitter to voice support, sharing the Ukranian flag.

If you don't know, Direct Relief is a charity that supports healthcare in Ukraine and, with Russia's invasion, it has been raising funds to help provide IV fluids, antibiotics, and other medication. It has been specifically helping with the unfolding crisis as more Ukrainian citizens are caught up in the invasion and left severely injured.

The International Rescue Committee meanwhile "responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises" and aims to help people get through these traumatic events while also offering aid after the fact to try and help people build back up their lives.
