According to video game publisher XSEED Games, BurgerTime Party! will be launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch next month on October 8.

BurgerTime Party! puts players in the shoes of Chef Peter Pepper in his attempt to walk over hamburger ingredients while avoiding the miscreant Food Foes in their pursuit to stop him. The game features more than 100 different kitchens of varying difficulties, each packed with their own assortment of wacky and tricky hazards. This upcoming release also features a multiplayer mode, where friends can either work together or take control of the enemy in the "Battle Burger" mode. The game also features the "Challenge Burger" option, where players can take on BurgerTime gamers across the world.

XSEED Games describes the game on their official site:

Chef Peter Pepper and the Food Foes return to serve up a fresh look and tons of new gameplay in this tasty reimagining of Data East’s 1982 arcade classic! After firing up the grill for some action, new modes and items will have modern chefs thinking outside of the bun to solve bite-sized puzzles like crumbling floors, oil spills, and freezing ladders, all while evading edible enemies both old and new. Local multiplayer lets 2-4 friends cooperate as cooks or compete as cuisine across 100+ stages that will keep the fun from getting stale long past Mr. Hot Dog’s expiration date. Now, let’s get cooking!

The game is a modern re-imagining of the retro classic game BurgerTime. BurgerTime was released in 1982 by Data East as an arcade game. The game grew in popularity, eventually porting to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987.

A trailer for the game was shown this past summer at E3 that highlighted the various multiplayer modes and showcased a variety of the different stages in the game. Though the trailer announced that BurgerTime Party! would be released this fall, no official release date was given at the time.

Published by XSEED Games, BurgerTime Party! will be released on October 8, 2019 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game is rated E and will retail for $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop. It is currently available for pre-order from XSEED Games' site and from select retailers for $29.99.
