In January, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and FIFA 21 were the most downloaded PlayStation games in the US and Europe, respectively. In both markets, Hitman 3, despite its late January release, was the second most downloaded game on PS5, and GTA 5 was the second most downloaded game on PS4 in both markets.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, released on November 13, 2020, was the most downloaded game for PS5 in the US, and for PS4 in the US and Europe, while FIFA 21, released on October 5, 2020, was the most downloaded game for PS5 in Europe, and the fourth most downloaded game for PS4 in the market.

According to the PSVR chart, Beat Saber, released on May 21, 2019, was the most downloaded title followed by Job Simulator, released on October 13, 2016, in both the US and Europe. As for free-to-play titles, Rocket League, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Fortnite were ranked in the same order on the charts in both the US and Europe.
