Season Two has arrived in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with two new operators, three new maps, the new ZRG 20mm sniper rifle, and a renewed emphasis on competitive play. That comes with several League Play changes, including a brand new match suspension system that will hit leavers and team-killers with an escalating series of suspensions.

"We’ve also added new Match Suspension penalties for players who quit mid-match or engage in friendly fire to ensure a better competitive experience for all players," wrote Treyarch in Season Two update. "These penalties will escalate with multiple offenses, so play nice or pay the price."

Treyarch didn’t provide specifics on how long the suspensions would last other than to say “for a period of time” and that “penalties will escalate” if a player continually leaves early or keeps killing friendly players.

Treyarch has also heard player feedback concerning Wildcard selection which has resulted in a few changes there too. The Law Breaker Wildcard will no longer allow any weapon to be put into either slot in League Play, so getting double primary will require a player to find a second primary lying on the ground. Additionally, the Greed Wildcard has been restricted completely in League Play (but not Custom Games or CDL).

Three new maps have arrived in Season Two, including Miami Strike, Mansion, and Golova. Miami Strike is a "streamlined" version of the original South Beach map with support for 6v6 team maps. This includes TDM, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint modes. Mansion is for 2v2 or 3v3 games, while Golova is one of the biggest multiplayer maps in the game.

Zombies

Zombies hasn't been left out either. A brand new region has arrived, along with the new Secure Objective game mode, a new motorcycle, and yet more in-game intel to discover.

As for Warzone, you’ll notice a distinct lack of minigun choppers thanks to the invisibility glitch’s return. No word on when they’ll be back, but it’s better to have no choppers than invisible players.
