Black Ops Cold War will have an open early access beta, according to the latest leak.

We’re getting some new info in the lead up to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s world premiere on Wednesday. With the reveal set for August 26, Call of Duty fansite COD Tracker has received interesting tidbits from anonymous sources that could reveal how this whole game will play out.

Or at least how the pre-order will play out.

Starting with an early access beta. It’ll be a multiplayer beta, according to the leak, with pre-orders being given first dibs on the open beta. We don’t know if non-pre-orders will also get access, but one supposes that will be based on how many people pre-order.

It will also likely be a very short early access period. With the expected release occurring sometime in November, even if Black Ops Cold War started its beta tomorrow it would have barely two months of early access.

Pre-order purchases will also be given some sweet loot for both Black Ops, Modern Warfare, and Warzone. For Black Ops, the Season 1 Battle Pass Bundle, the Confrontation Weapons Pack, and Land, Sea, and Air Packs are included with every pre-order purchase, while Warzone and Modern Warfare players can enjoy the Woods Operator cosmetic pack.

Note that Activision hasn’t confirmed any of this, but we’ll likely hear about it during the Black Ops Cold War reveal.
