Looks like PlayStation players will get another lucrative exclusive. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is kicking off its Operation Grand Heist update for PS4.

The first-person shooter game will see a bunch of new content in this update over the coming days, such as a new Specialist, weapons and maps.

Much of what is coming will be a mystery. Game developer Treyarch promises daily content all week this week. Today (Feb. 20) will see "a familiar face" joining the new Operation, and tomorrow (Feb. 21) the first League Play event will begin. Those who love cars will adore the new Hot Pursuit mode, which opens Friday (Feb. 22) with three new vehicles: Muscle Car, PBR and SUV.

Treyarch also released a roadmap for Operation Grand Heist in the coming months, promising things such as new black market items, a league play option in multiplayer, and a new prestige system in Blackout. A new zombie experience will come in March, too. Future operations will kick off in spring, summer and fall.

For those players sitting on the sidelines with Xbox One and PC, they won't have to wait much longer -- the update will be pushed to those platforms in the coming week. You can see more information on Treyarch's blog.

Black Ops 4 has had rely on its multiplayer offerings, as it is the first game in the franchise without a traditional single-player campaign mode. The game is also missing traditional perks such as automatic health regeneration, although it has received praise for its new ballistics.

Review aggregator Metacritic notes that the game has received generally favorable reviews on PS4 and other platforms, although fans have said they miss campaign mode and that they are upset that map packs are only available through the Black Ops Pass.

The game was nominated for several game of the year awards in 2018 and 2019, picking up a few trophies for Best Social/Online Game (Gamescom 2018), the Gamers' Choice Awards Fan Favorite Shooter Game, and the Australian Games Awards Shooter of the Year.
