This may be one of the oddest things I’ve reviewed in my nearly three years at TheGamer. However, I am doing so with, quite honestly, the freshest feeling mouth that I think I’ve ever had without visiting the dentist. It all comes courtesy of my new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Limited Edition BURST Sonic Toothbrush - a product I always knew I needed (due to my dentist’s recommendation), but one that I never pulled the trigger on until just recently.

I’ve used sonic toothbrushes before, but they never really did the trick for me. At least, they never felt like they did the trick. Depending on the toothbrush, the brush itself always felt way too small for my mouth, the quadrant timer was inconsistent, or the pulsating vibration was either too hard or too soft, resulting in my eventual reverting back to standard everyday toothbrushes.

As such, I was skeptical as to what might be different about the Call of Duty BURST Sonic Toothbrush. After the first use, however, I immediately became a believer.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Limited Edition BURST Sonic Toothbrush brings a lot to the table as far as electric toothbrushes go. When in action in any of the three available modes - which include whitening, sensitive, and massage - the toothbrush puts out up to 33,000 sonic vibrations per minute, making it one of the most powerful brushes on the market. The brush itself is made up of tapered bristles which are super-soft and vary in length while also being coated in charcoal nanoparticles that are strong enough to remove plaque, but soft enough that they won’t damage gums or tooth enamel. Finally, the quad-interval timer pauses every 30 seconds to notify you to switch to the next quadrant of your mouth before automatically shutting off after two minutes.

To be honest, you could throw all kinds of different buzzwords at me regarding a toothbrush, but it ultimately boils down to how well the brush performs. On that front, the Call of Duty BURST Sonic Toothbrush hits on all marks. My first brush left my mouth feeling extra clean, but it was a bit uncomfortable simply because my lips and gums weren’t used to such powerful vibrations. After a few brushes, I got used to it. Now, each brush leaves me feeling refreshed and surprisingly satisfied. Once I rinse off the brush, I simply put it back in its charging stand (even though the battery can last up to four weeks on one charge. I do wish that the base cover that shows off the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War logo fit a little snugger, but the aesthetics of the camo brush and base look great.

“A Call of Duty toothbrush, though? Really?”

I get it. It’s an interesting product for a major game to attach its name to. However, in addition to the overall high-quality of the toothbrush, it’s worth picking up if not for anything other than the fact that 20% of the proceeds are donated to The Call of Duty Endowment in support of military veterans and the charities that prepare them to compete for high-quality jobs.

You already have to brush your teeth. With the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Limited Edition BURST Sonic Toothbrush, you can also take comfort in the fact that your purchase is doing some good within the community.
