A Call of Duty Esports league is inbound, folks.

Following the release of the franchise's newest title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Activision has announced that the Call of Duty League will debut on January 24, 2020. So far, 12 teams have been listed.

The event will be held at the Minneapolis Armory and will be hosted by WISE Ventures Esports' team Minnesota RøKKR. All 12 teams are poised to feature in the three-day session, which will also bring the initial Call of Duty Challengers to the fore. The latter will mark the start of the league's inaugural season, with the campaign to take on a home and away format that will see each team host "home series" on weekends.
