Gunfight Tournaments Broken Down

Essentially, Gunfight Tournaments in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are all about grabbing your favorite partner, and hitting the battlefield. All that is needed is to win four in a row, and sweet victory can be yours. The tournament is a basic 16 team bracket, all with teams of 2. To enter, simply click the Gunfight Tournament mode from the playlist, which will have a running 5:00 clock, which will reset every five minutes to begin the next tournament. Once in, the rules are very Gulag-esque, and essentially require teams to either eliminate the enemy team or capture the flag when time runs out to win. The maps are usually predetermined, and for this July series, players can expect to play 2 v 2 on the following maps:

Aisle 9

Speedball

Trench

King

Pine

Shipment

Stack

Bazaar

Docks

Grab your favorite loadout, and head to victory. Remember, four rounds in a row must be won to achieve the tournament prize, which this time around is the Grail Quest M4A1 Blueprint. Below, we will break down the levels of rewards, even if teams lose in the first round.

July Gunfight Tournament Rewards

In the July Gunfight Tournament, we’ll break down the rewards possible for each round.

Round 1: If you lose out in the preliminary rounds, you won’t go home empty handed. Instead, you’ll get a bonus of 500XP, as well as the Bogeyman spray.

Round 2: If you make it to the quarterfinals, you’ll get 1,000 bonus XP, as well as a rare emblem, the Pillbox Pinup.

Round 3: If you are a semi-finalist, you will be rewarded with 2,000 bonus XP, and the Let It Slide animated calling card.

Round 4 Victory: If you make it out with four wins, you get a 5,000 XP bonus as champion, as well as the Grail Quest M4A1 blueprint.

This blueprint looks good, fires like a laser, and will certainly class up your game.
