With Season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone about to begin, a special, limited-time Halloween event has been revealed. From October 20 to November 3, you can jump into the horrifying action in the Haunting of Verdansk, which includes new limited time modes, rewards, and more.

For now, details are sparse about what to expect in terms of gameplay. There have been several Halloween-inspired exterior skins confirmed for different Warzone vehicles, including the “Mutated” ATV, “Flight of Torment” Helicopter, “From the Deep” SUV, “Stained” Tac Rover, and “Grizzly End” Cargo Truck skins. These can all be obtained through the Season 6 Battle Pass.

You can also expect to find Halloween-themed offerings take over the official in-game Store. In their official blog post, Activision is keeping its secrets close to the chest, stating only that, “Later in the Season, prepare for more Tracer Packs, an Operator pack that continues the gold-plated trend of flashy skins, and even a couple of Halloween surprises as the nights grow longer and the more twisted games begin…”

As for the core gameplay of Warzone, Activision remains silent on exactly what to expect. Based on the history of the Call of Duty series, the most logical guess would be for Zombies to rise and invade the Battle Royale mode.

As the Haunting of Verdansk is only around for two weeks, it would make sense to shake things up a bit by adding Zombies as a new PvE element to the game. Having Zombies in a match would be a small distraction to deal with, and hopefully defeating the undead will award money, ammo, weapons, and more. On the other hand, having to fight Zombies, even quickly, might give away your position to other players and leave you temporarily distracted.

Alternatively, players might become Zombies themselves, though that does seem like it would be borrowing too heavily from other modes rather than being something original.

For now, we can only wait to find out what lies ahead in this Halloween-themed event. There is already so much more to look forward to with the launch of Season 6. For starters, there is a new subway system to explore in the Warzone map update, along with a new, limited-time mode called Armored Royale.

In addition, Farah and Nikolai are the new operators up for grabs, along the SP-R 208 marksman rifle and AS VAL assault rifle. For more on Season 6, be sure to read the lengthy blog post by clicking here.
