Capcom seems to be really big on non-committal release date announcements. After revealing that Ghosts N Goblins Resurrection would be coming "soon" to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the company has announced that the Capcom Arcade Stadium would be following suit on the same platforms. "Soon," you'll be able to relive Capcom's glory days on current generation platforms with this re-release that contains 32 games.

Much like the same promotion done for the Switch version earlier this year, players will be able to download a free copy of 1943 - The Battle of Midway when the compilation pack is made available. Capcom hasn't mentioned if Ghosts 'n Goblins will also be free for a limited period, but we'll just have to find out when an actual release date is given.

For those unfamiliar with this downloadable package, the Capcom Arcade Stadium released for Nintendo Switch on February 17, 2021, as a free app with 1943. You were then able to buy packs of 10 games for $15 each or $40 for the entire lot. The original Ghosts 'n Goblins was made free for two weeks in promotion of Ghosts 'N Goblins Resurrection but now sits at $2.

From everything I've heard, the compilation was well done and contains some rather awesome titles. It's strange that three versions of Street Fighter 2 are included when the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection is a thing, but then maybe some players only want the legendary fighter versus having the complete collection. At any rate, those without a Switch will soon be able to partake of Capcom's arcade roots.
