Now that Resident Evil 3 Remake is out, Capcom would like to know if more sequels and remakes of the Resident Evil series should be produced.

The information comes from a Capcom Twitter account that has posted a link to a survey that fans can take and answer a number of questions about Resident Evil 3 Remake. Aside from asking typical questions like if fans have already bought the game or plan on getting it in the future, the survey also asks questions regarding future sequels and remakes. Specifically, the survey asks fans if they would consider buying a Resident Evil remake, a sequel, if they would buy a new console for that remake or sequel, and so on.

Though the survey questions may not necessarily hint at anything, nor confirm the development of a sequel or remake, they are meant to get a general idea of interest from fans of the series. For instance, if the majority or a good number of fans say that they are interested in another remake of a Resident Evil game, that may convince Capcom to get to work. A similar idea can be applied to a whole new Resident Evil game. If a lot of fans would like for a brand new entry in the series, Capcom may very well listen and do something about it.

Interestingly enough, aside from dealing with Resident Evil 3 Remake, the survey falls in line with recent rumors about a potential Resident Evil remake as well as Resident Evil 8. Capcom is allegedly working on a remake that is scheduled for 2022, while also focusing on the next Resident Evil game. Although not too much is known about the next installment, rumors have stated that Ethan from Resident Evil 7 will make an appearance, as well as the game being extremely different from past Resident Evil games. There have also been rumors suggesting that werewolves and stalking enemies will make an appearance in it.

For now, it's best to take all the rumors with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmations and announcements from Capcom.
