There are eight Archangels to defeat during the course of the main story in Cassette Beasts, and few come at you as hard as Alice. At level 40 or higher, and with the stats and moveset to back it up, she can be a real challenge to underleveled parties but remains something of a menace to even overleveled parties that either lack the right coverage or tactical approach.

Speak To Tiny Dominoth To Unlock Alice's Wonderland

Cassette Beasts Alice Wonderland

Since Alice is an Archangel who is, apparently, not tied to any specific character, you need to find the 'Tiny Dominoth' rumor from NPCs in Harbourtown to trigger her quest. Like all other rumors, this will pop up eventually; just be diligent whenever NPCs have question marks above their heads, and you'll get it.

You'll find Alice in the Cherry Meadow, but you will need to solve a puzzle involving the Electromagnetism ability and transferring one of those stacks of magnets (you should find one to the north a little bit) on top of a magnetic platform near a fellow who asks if you're looking for the Tiny Dominoth.

Once you've done that, a train station will appear - yay, a new fast travel spot! - and you'll want to go through the gated door to the right, fall down the spooky lift, and eat what Alice has kindly prepared for you.

When you're big enough to move the boulder, do so, and you'll continue on into another room with 'Eat Me'/'Drink Me' platforming puzzles, which will, in turn, lead to an outdoor area; interact with the chest ahead, defeat the enemies, obtain the White Rabbit Key, bring it back with you, and voila.

Anticipating Archangel Alice

For starters, we recommend getting the main character's level to around 42 or higher. This should give you base stats high enough to help supplement your party monsters in a meaningful capacity. We don't doubt the fight's doable at far lower levels, but if you're taking your time with Cassette Beasts, you'll reach 42 before you know it, anyway.

Either raise the Fusion Meter naturally or get ready to chomp down on Pear Fusilli at the start of the fight, because, as is frequently the case with our Archangel combat estimations, Fusion is going to be a big part of your victory approach. Fusions permit higher stats, letting you withstand additional torment from Alice as you build toward attacks with higher power than you'll see almost anyplace else.

If your Fused beast should fall, remember you can Respool them separately, using someone else as a stopgap to soak damage from Alice if needed.

To that end, get lots of Rewinds and Respools from the Gramophone Cafe.

If you can find stickers to apply involving elevation in AP at the start of fights, or better yet, increased AP per turn, equip them before challenging Alice. Not only are they beneficial as a rule, but in this particular duel, you're facing someone who siphons AP from you frequently, so you can stay ahead if well-prepared.

Alice Battle Strategy

Alice often starts by using 'Guzzle Fuel' to draw AP from you and hasten her own inevitable ascent toward a full bar, which by now you'll surely know means a devastating attack. She's fond of using 'Eat Me' as well, which triggers the rare Inflated status effect. Inflated beasts have heightened Melee Attack and Ranged Attack at the cost of reduced Evasion.

In other words, even if you have accuracy-related issues on the regular, you shouldn't have much challenge hitting Alice with your own attacks. On the other hand, hers will pack an additional wallop.

The nice thing about this is that the Evasion reduction is so damning for Alice that, if you have lowish-accuracy moves like 'Suction Cup Dart' in your arsenal - which you likely do! - that 75 percent chance pretty much becomes 100, and you'll deal a whopping 150+ damage for a relatively slim four AP.

Alice will also use 'Drink Me' sometimes, which triggers the Deflated status, an inverse that will make her harder to hit. While this is in effect, you can heal up and boost your stats for when she's more available again, or you can take your chances and attack.

Either way, try to get a wall up of some kind if you can ahead of her ultimate attack, because it can do over 250 damage - that's a ton even for a Fused Beast.

Just whittle away at Alice whenever you can, and if you manage to build up enough AP for Fusion Power or something similarly strong, by all means, blow her away with it. The odds are a little slimmer than usual that you can do so, since she loves to use 'Guzzle Fuel' so much, but then, think of it this way - every time she chooses to siphon AP, she's also choosing not to attack. Which is nice, right?
