Despite the seemingly endless issues which tainted the release of the uber-hyped Cyberpunk 2077 last year, developer CD Projekt Red has announced that its estimated revenue for 2020 comes in at the somewhat impressive figure of $562 million.

Additionally, CD Projekt has estimated that a good 1.154 million Polish złoty - equal to $303 million - was made in consolidated net profit in 2020.

These estimations have been announced ahead of a full breakdown of the company's revenue, which will be released in a financial statement this Thursday, April 22.

While these figures reflect total income made by CD Projekt over the last financial year, it's safe to say that a significant portion of it was brought in thanks to Cyberpunk 2077. Despite having one of the wonkiest releases in gaming history, the game still raked in stacks of sales which broke some of CD Projekt's own records. The studio also expressed intentions to fix Cyberpunk 2077 up so it can continue to sell for years to come.

Indeed, following the disastrous release of Cyberpunk 2077 at the end of last year, the team behind the game has been working tirelessly to patch fixes and improvements into the game. The addition of better rain effects is one of the latest, which has been a great success and was received with open arms by fans.

Endless efforts are also being made by the player base itself to tweak and mod their way to a better and more fleshed-out Cyberpunk experience - from a mod which lets you use early unused character models in your game, to one which adjusts the first-person camera position to create an improved driving experience.

If anything, it's likely that CD Projekt will rev up its efforts even more to compensate for the game's downfalls moving forward. The Polish developer has also already confirmed its intentions to get things moving with the development of multiple triple-A games starting next year. No slowing down, it seems!
