While players patiently wait for the release of Cyberpunk 2077 later this year, the game’s developer has revealed a new contest that will set one fan up with a gaming rig to play the game on.

Earlier today, April 7, CD Projekt Red (CDPR), the Polish developer best known for The Witcher series of games, revealed a PC case modding contest for their highly anticipated RPG Cyberpunk 2077. The 'CyberUpYourPC' contest is already accepting submissions.

Basic rules for the contest are in keeping with the Cyberpunk genre aesthetic that gives Cyberpunk 2077 its name. Cases submitted for the contest must contain either a megacorp or gang logo from the game which can be downloaded from the contest info page. Designs must include recycled material. Finally, designs are expected to evoke the contrast between the lives of rich and poor in the highly stratified society that virtually all cyberpunk works share. Players interested in the contest will need to finish their builds and submit photos by May 17. The fine print for the contest is available here.

The top entry for the contest will receive the prize of an Alienware Aurora gaming PC with a limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 Nvidia 2080 Ti graphics card installed as well as an Alienware mouse, keyboard and Monitor and a SteelSeries wireless headset. The second through fifth place runners-up in the contest will win an Alienware gaming laptop and a SteelSeries headset.

It will be interesting to see whether the winning design has a gang log or a corp logo.
