Creating your initial character is very exciting in any game that has the mechanic. However, it can also be a nerve-wracking experience. After all, many titles don't provide you with a way to change your character's physical appearance after the initial creation.

So if you mess up, you might have to look at a very unappealing hero throughout the game. Initially, this was a problem in Cyberpunk 2077. But as with most of the early issues of this RPG, that has been fixed. Yet, you still might not know how to do it. If that's the case, follow this guide.

Updated December 17, 2022 By Ben Jessey: Cyberpunk 2077 feels like a game that is continually in progress. This is because, after a shaking launch, it has had many updates to try to improve the overall experience. And it has worked, as the game is now in far better condition than it was when it launched.

Yet, it isn't just the frame rate and visuals that have improved. They've also added features, such as the ability to alter your appearance. We created a guide to explain just how to do that. Now, we've returned to the piece to clean it up and add a part about resetting your skills, too.

How To Edit V’s Appearance

Who can now change V's appearance in Cyberpunk 2977

Previously, the only way to edit V’s appearance in Cyberpunk 2077 was to start a new game. This, of course, was massively time-consuming, given just how long the offering on show here is. This is now a problem of the past, however.

Now, you can simply head over to your mirror in your apartment - which may have a new coat of paint following the housing changes added - and select the 'Change Appearance' option.

From there, you will be greeted with the option to change V’s hair, makeup, tattoos, and other aesthetic features. This new feature is also available on last-gen consoles.

New Options In Character Creation

There has been a number of new features added to the Cyberpunk 2077 character creator

Following the updates, there are now more options than ever for character customization.

At both the start of the game, and at any point during your journey by visiting the mirror in your apartment, you will find a number of new makeups, hairstyles, and visual features that add to the original list available on launch.

Changing Your Attributes In Cyberpunk 2077

Alas, while there have been many quality-of-life improvements since the game's release, the ability to respec your attributes is still not one of them.

However, you can reset your perks points. This used to be done through the use of a Tabula E-Rasa shard. But the developers have made it easier, as you can just hit the 'reset perks' button on the character screen - for a price.

By doing this, you can vary your build a bit, even without the ability to reset your attributes.
