When you have a weapon that you love and trust, where do you usually keep it? Swords go on your back, and guns go in a hip holster, right? But what if that's not enough? What if you want to be as close to your preferred tool of destruction as physically possible? Well, there's always room in your limbs if you don't mind substituting a few bones.

Some characters in games possess weaponry that's built right into their physiology. To clarify, we're not just talking about an arm cannon you wear over your regular arm. We're talking about an arm cannon that is also your arm, whether it's inside your arm or directly replacing it.

9 Geno - Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars

Geno firing his Geno Beam at Bowyer in Super Mario RPG

Prior to its possession by a mysterious spirit from the Star Road, the humble doll known as Geno had a variety of nifty action features. Its hands could pop open, revealing a set of pea shooters, and they could be launched off with springs. Those simple features evolved into powerful artillery when Geno came to life with the spirit's will.

Geno can retract his hands into arms, revealing full gun barrels that launch both bullets and beams. He can also pop open his elbows to launch larger bullets and, of course, pop off a classic rocket-powered punch. Do you think he has to go grab his arms after he launches them?

8 Mondo Zappa - Killer Is Dead

Mondo spins his drill arm in Killer is Dead

Mondo Zappa's artificial arm, Musselback, is a major source of mystery in his life. He has no idea where it came from or how it does the things it does, but he can't deny its helpfulness in his line of work. Through mysterious means, Musselback possesses the ability to completely reconfigure itself into a variety of other weapons.

These weapons include a standard long-ranged blaster, a charging beam, a freezing blaster, and a gigantic, wall-destroying drill. Also, Mondo can snap Musselback's fingers to instantly light torches and cigarettes. That's not a weapon; it's just a cool thing he can do.

7 Aigis - Persona 3

Aigis unleashes her arsenal of weapons in the Midnight Channel. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

As the first viable humanoid Anti-Shadow Weapon, Aigis was designed to be modular and flexible. This was likely a deliberate design choice, as flexibility helped her to develop the sense of self necessary to manifest a Persona. Even without her Persona, Aigis' body is packed to the brim with weaponry.

By default, Aigis' fingers can function as high-caliber SMGs, peppering Shadows with bullets. With a bit of tinkering, Aigis' arms can be reconfigured to launch all kinds of projectiles, including rifle rounds, grenades, and even armor-piercing railgun slugs. And that's just in Persona 3; with her upgrades in Persona 4 Arena, Aigis can pull entire rocket launchers and Gatling guns seemingly out of nowhere.

6 Clawitzer - Pokemon Series

Clawitzer uses is't huge claw in battle to do huge chunks of damage, with water jets that can shoot through steel

A handful of Pokemon possess natural weapon-like capabilities. Examples of this include the pressure-based rock launchers in the claws of a Rhyperior, and the arm blades of a Gallade. Perhaps one of the most powerful (not to mention the coolest) examples of this is Clawitzer and its gigantic, weaponized claw.

Clawitzier's claw can rapidly suck up and hold spherical pockets of water. With a quick front snap, the water is launched out as a highly-pressurized cannonball, powerful enough to puncture a sheet of solid steel.

5 Jack - Madworld

MadWorld Screenshot of Jack Cayman standing victorious over a fallen foe, brandishing his chainsaw threateningly

As cool as the aesthetic of it is, chainsaws don't make very good weapons. They're large and unwieldy, making them difficult to swing and hold onto. The only way you could effectively utilize a chainsaw in a fight would be if the weight wasn't a problem. Well, for Jack of Madworld, the weight's not a problem since the chainsaw is his entire arm.

Jack's artificial arm features a slot mounted on the top, out of which pops a retractable, fully-operational chainsaw. This saw can easily cleave through materials, organic and inorganic, and can be revved up for more power with a simple fist pump. The design makes very little sense, but you can't deny the cool factor.

4 Baraka - Mortal Kombat Series

Mortal Kombat Baraka wielding his built in weapon daggers during a fight.

The Tarkata are a species of born warriors based primarily out of Outworld, their original home having been conquered by Shao Kahn (at least in the current Mortal Kombat canon). All Tarkatans possess natural arm blades composed of a dense and sharp mineral. For most Tarkatans, these blades are only about as long as a dagger, but for their leader, Baraka, they're full-sized swords.

Baraka's natural arm blades can be easily sheathed and deployed in the heat of combat, and he uses them with deadly efficiency. His skill with these weapons is so great that he can even launch sparking projectiles by grinding them against each other.

3 Holly Summers - No More Heroes

Holly Summers waits for Travis in No More Heroes

All of the assassins fought in the No More Heroes games possess some manner of unusual weapon, and the Number Six assassin of the original game, Holly Summers, is no exception. While she's a skilled hand with a shovel and explosives, her prosthetic leg is her deadliest weapon.

At a moment's notice, Holly's leg can pop open to reveal an array of micro-missile launchers, with each payload possessing heat-seeking capabilities. Not only is this a potent weapon on its own, but the heat-seeking system lets Holly chase her opponents around, often right into one of the pit traps she's dug ahead of time.

2 Vile - Mega Man Maverick Hunter X

Mega Man X's original rival, Vile, is best known for the large artillery cannons he carries around on his shoulders. However, just because those are his prominent weapons doesn't mean that's all he's packing. In fact, Vile's entire body is a medium of weapon destruction, which becomes apparent when you can play as him in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X.

Of course, Vile can equip weapons to his shoulders, but he can also equip weapons to his hands and even his legs. His fingers can become rapid-fire Gatling guns, while his knees can launch out napalm grenades, just to give a couple of examples. Basically, if he can drill a hole into some part of his body, Vile can shoot weapons out of it.

1 Nero - Devil May Cry 5

Nero's various Devil Breakers in Devil May Cry 5

After Nero's original demonic arm, the Devil Bringer, was severed and stolen, he needed a new trump card to bust out while fighting demons. Luckily for him, he's friends with a genius inventor. With a bit of tinkering, Nico created Nero's Devil Breakers, a series of battle-spec prosthetic arms, each packing a wild weapon of its own.

Nero's Devil Breakers include, in no particular order, a lightning emitter, a gigantic beam caster, a serpentine chain whip, a rocket punch, an enhancer for his sword and gun, an armor-piercing drill, a giant demonic claw in the Devil Bringer's image, and a time decelerator. Oh, and a pasta fork.
