You think you can sit back and enjoy being 60 now that you've hit that level cap? Think again, because you joined a raiding guild and one of the officers just handed you a shopping list. Are your professions maxed out? Have you found all those rare recipes? How many times have you run Scholomance just to use the alchemy lab for those precious flasks? It's time to get used to reagent runs and farming for the needed materials even more than you did during the grind to 60. Here's a short, condensed list of what you should have in your bags when that ready check for the raid finally happens.

10 The Alchemist's Toolkit

That essential triumvirate of potions, flasks, and elixirs is what makes the Alchemy profession such a popular one. You'll be everyone's best friend in raids when you hit that level cap since you'll be the source of essential consumables that will help keep your guild from wiping. Depending on what raid you're doing, you'll need protection from certain elements, like fire in Molten Core or frost and shadow in Naxxramus. You don't always have to be an alchemist, as some of the potions like Winterfall Firewater are drops.

9 Buff Foods

Cooking is one of the secondary professions and unlike primary professions, any character can do it. If you didn't invest in grinding up your Cooking skill because you didn't think it was important, now you have the gold and flight paths to grind it up much more easily. Classic WoW didn't have the "feast" option that retail WoW has where you can set a table for the whole party, so high-level cooks are responsible for preparing individual portions for the whole raid. Time to max out that fishing skill, too!

8 Bag Space

Make a bank alt, sell those drops that you aren't sure what to do with, whatever you have to do. You're already dealing with a full bank and you can only send stuff to your alt that's not soulbond. Raids need a fair amount of bag space for your supplies but you also need empty slots for any epics that might drop. Even the trash drops in raids are worth at least a few gold, which you're going to need for repairs anyway, never mind what it's going to cost to replace al of the potions and food items you're going to use.

7 Goblin Jumper Cables

Wipes happen. We know that. The trick is being prepared when they do. When there's not a battle-rez left and every soulstone is on cooldown, there's one thing that can still save the entire raid that long run back from the graveyard; Goblin Jumper Cables. There's a lower-level version of this ability that Engineers get at 165, but in a raid, you'd better bring the level 53 upgrade that requires a skill of 265. Even though it's not 100% certain to work, it can still be used to rez the whole raid. It goes to prove that you don't have to be a healer to be a hero.

6 Headphones

This isn't for your toon, it's for you. It's one thing to do a multi-player quest or even a dungeon without being able to listen to your teammates in real-time, but that's not going to cut it in a raid. Even if you can't hook a mic up to Discord, any pair of headphones will work so you can hear certain crucial instructions without the hassle of typing it out. That's not just for fights, either. Raids often have strict rules when it comes to powerful loot and rare reagents that often drop in raids, so keep those ears open.

5 Bandages

Does this make too much sense? During any standard raid, you're going to have some tough boss fights, even against trash never mind the notorious final bosses like Onyxia and Ragnaros. The healers have to concentrate their attention and mana on the tanks and combo classes that can heal or tank in addition to doing damage. If you're not playing any of those classes and happen to be a pure DPS like a Mage or a Warlock, Bandages are a must.

4 Magic Resistance

Going to Molten Core without any fire protection is like going hitchhiking in the galaxy without your towel. Every single raid takes place in a place where a certain kind of magic is the dominant force, like fire in Molten Core. It's not just about the right potion. Your magic resistance can take on many forms. There are enchants to gear, buffs, totems, and special items and gear with stats that improve your fire, frost, shadow, nature or arcane resistances abilities. It may seem like a minor detail, but when you're fighting a boss this tough you need all the help you can get.

3 Updated Mods and Addons

Okay, we get that you're a hardcore Classic WoW player and you refuse to let any enhancements or changes to the game, including mods, mar your flawless vintage experience. Fine, be that way, but you're never getting invited to a raid. Some mods or addons are essential for coordinating your own attacks and making sure that big boss goes down, while others are handy for counting bag spaces or keeping track of how much time that soulstone has left. Sure, it's possible to run a raid without them, but you're already doing the hardest part of the game there is.

2 Felwood Consumables

Some players miss these quests entirely because hardly anybody wants to hang out in the sickly green ambiance of Felwood with a bunch of Druids. Obviously, the opposite is true for those that play the class as well as those who are grinding rep with Druid-friendly organizations like the Cenarion Circle. There are certain types of plants throughout Felwood that have been corrupted by dark energies, and once you cleanse them, they become powerful consumables that you can harvest and use later. They give both spellcasters and melee fighters amazing bonuses. You don't have to be a Druid or Herbalist to gain this ability, all you have to do is some quests for some Druids.

1 Punctuality

We all wish we could be like Chromie, gifted with the power to travel where and when she wants in time. So, until we all have the abilities of the Bronze Dragonflight, be on-time for your raids. That doesn't mean signing in the same minute your rais is supposed to start. It's tough to get 20 or 40 people together to do anything as it is, and when you don't confirm your attendance or show up at the last minute, the whole raid is going to have a bad time.
