CD Projekt Red may have created a lot of buzz for the grungy futuristic genre of cyberpunk games, but their title is far from the only one available. In fact, Cloudpunk will be available next week for all major consoles. Of course, that means that you can preorder Cloudpunk on the Switch right now.

Cloudpunk is the neo-noir game that will have you playing as Rania as you work to deliver more-or-less legitimate packages across the city of Nivalis. During your travels, you'll meet other humans, cyborgs, and anything else living in the city. The cast of characters to be found in Cloudpunk is wide, so you won't be left wanting for better or more interesting characters.

The game will release for consoles on October 15, with a physical release available on November 10 in the US. If you're looking for something in the cyberpunk genre, while you wait for Cyberpunk 2077 you're going to want to pick up Cloudpunk. Its vision of a grungy—yet colorful—future is sure to keep you satisfied and your imagination running.

You can clearly see inspiration taken from classic cyberpunk movies like Bladerunner, The Fifth Element, and maybe some Judge Dredd thrown in for flavor. If you do decide to pick up this game on the pre-order (and you really should) you'll be rewarded with a 20% discount, bringing the price of the game down from about $25 to $20. It's a very good price for a very ambitious and beautifully created game.

Aside from completing deliveries and uncovering corporate corruption in the city of Nivalis, you'll be happy to know that you will also be able to decorate your in-game apartment to suit your personality. Speaking of personality, while much of the game involves traveling by hover-car, a major aspect is exploring parts of the city on foot—speaking with other characters and getting a feel for what it's like to live in a technological dystopia.

As an added bonus for your pre-order, you can be sure that the game won't be delayed, because it's been available on PC for quite some time and the console versions have only made the game better. Be sure to get your pre-orders in now before they're gone.
