Clutch has just released the updated V2 portable charger, adding support for Android devices, doubling the battery to 3000mAh, and refining its overall design.

Whether or not it’s truly the world's thinnest portable charger might be up for debate, but no matter how you cut it this thing is tiny. Its design is a miniscule 3" x 2" x .15" – in other words, its about as thick as two quarters stacked on top of each other. The Clutch V2 is comparable in size to a credit card and can easily be socked away in a purse, backpack, or back pocket.

The biggest change for the V2 is Android compatibility, letting you charge your Galaxy S20 or Pixel 4 on the go. You'll also be able to take advantage of the massive new 3000mAh battery, LED indicator lights, and a variety of new colors. Best of all, the Clutch is only $49 and comes with free two-day shipping.

"Most portable chargers are thick and clunky so they are not that easy to take with you when on the go, as they can't fit in a wallet, purse or pocket," said Wilson Carter, CEO of Clutch. "With Clutch, anyone can now have a truly portable charger that can always be with them wherever they go."

The first iteration of Clutch was released in 2019, offering the same sleek design but with a few missing features – and no Android support. V2 is set to fix those omissions and offer all smartphone users a simple, portable way to keep their device charged.

The device seems promising, and we'll be testing it out over the next couple months. Mobile games are notoriously brutal on battery life, and it'll be interesting to see how much the Clutch V2 can extend our gaming sessions.

If you're interested in learning more, you can find more details about the Clutch V2 on its official website. It's now available for $49.99 and is sold in three colors – Black, White, and Pink.
