Activision has released a new trailer for Black Ops Cold War's upcoming Nuketown '84 map, showing off a gritty, retro version of the franchise's most popular level. The layout is almost identical to the original, but a fresh coat of paint makes it feel like a brand-new location.

Nuketown '84 will be playable on November 24. Right now, however, you can gain access to the Nuketown Weapon Bundle by purchasing and logging into the game. The DLC is available until December 3, so if you're interested in free swag you should check it out while you can. The bundle includes 10 items, but here are some of the highlights:

  • "Last Stop" Epic Shotgun Weapon Blueprint
  • Six Weapon Charms (With names such as "Chad," "Thad," and "Karen")
  • Nuketown Legend Emblem
  • Omnibus Calling Card

If you're more interested in the new map, here's its latest trailer:

The new map is free for all players, providing yet another backdrop for your multiplayer shenanigans. From what we can tell, it looks like the overall flow of the original Nuketown remains intact. You'll still be able to head upstairs for mid-range shootouts, or rush across the street using a school bus or other vehicles for cover. But you don't need me to describe it to you – anyone whose played COD knows about Nuketown.

This variant, however, brings a distinct vibe to the tiny neighborhood. Bright graffiti graces each building, dust and shrapnel is strewn across backyards, and everything about it feels much gritter – thanks to improved visuals.

Black Ops Cold War is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Our review found it to be another solid entry in the series, even if it's lacking a diverse set of multiplayer maps. The addition of Nuketown '84 is a step in the right direction, and we're sure future updates will bring a robust set of maps to the popular game.
