KFC is making a dating simulator where you can fall in love with Colonel Sanders. No, really.
Kentucky Fried Chicken is getting into the video game business. Why? We have no idea. KFC just does this sort of thing from time to time, such as releasing their own clothing line or creating their own musical ice-dancing number.
Their latest plan is to create a computer dating simulator where you can romance The Colonel. We can only imagine he smells delicious, although the current limits of technology prevent this dating game from emitting odors. Perhaps by the time the sequel arrives we’ll have broken into that last frontier of gaming.
It’s called I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator, which is a mouthful of a title equal only to the mouthful you’ll get when you order a bucket of KFC. The game is being developed by Psyop, which has created a visual novel game in the past, so we know this is legit.
In I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator (henceforth to be abbreviated as ILYCS!AFLGDS), you play as a culinary school student that just so happens to go to the same school as Colonel Sanders. We’re not sure if he’s still achieved the rank of colonel if he’s still in school, so maybe this is a sort of prequel story to starting KFC.
ILYCS!AFLGDS will allow you to date Colonel Sanders or merely befriend him and go into business together. The choices you make throughout the multi-hour visual novel will determine your outcome. There are also 9 other characters present in the game, including a corgi that is your culinary school professor.
According to the Steam page, there is a secret ending, secret recipes, and cute miniature food.
The most ludicrous aspect of ILYCS!AFLGDS is the price: Free. That's right; you can date The Colonel by paying absolutely nothing. KFC paid for this game's entire development and is giving it away on Steam for 0$.
