Conan Unconquered's release date has been changed. However, as you're probably able to gather from the title, it's not due to a delay; the date has actually been moved up.

via conanunconquered.comConan Unconquered was announced in December, with the publishers describing it as a fast-paced strategy game in which players must build and strengthen forts to repel hordes of enemies increasing in both size and strength. The game presents the option of playing in co-operative single-player mode, as well as a PvP challenge mode which allows players to go at each other on a unique map for a leaderboard position.

The story is inspired by one of the original short Conan stories, Black Colossus, which was written by Robert E. Howard and published way back in 1933. It was adapted to Marvel Comics in the 1970s.

According to Funcom Chief Product Officer, Lawrence Poe, the game is being released a day early because the devs are "eagerly looking forward to launch and to getting Conan Unconquered into the hands of players. The game has really come together and although the skill cap is high, it's tremendously fun to play."

The game is currently available for pre-order on Steam for $30.

Last month, PlayStation users with PS Plus were treated to Conan Exiles as one of the feature's free games. This month's release seems perfectly timed for players who dabble in PC gaming as well.
