As the Nintendo Switch continues to face production issues, retailers around the world are having trouble keeping the system in stock. This has led to price gougers charging an arm and a leg for the console on sites like eBay and Craigslist, hoping to make a quick buck off the unfortunate global crisis. But, thanks to a little patience and a lot of ingenuity, one potential Switch customer was able to hunt down spare parts and build their own console for just $200.

A genius by the name of Sarbaaz37 didn't want to give in to the scalpers, so they decided to purchase the 20+ components needed to build their own Switch. Miraculously, after months of gathering the pieces and hours putting them all together, the system powered on. It's a sight to behold — not only because it cost just $200 — but because Sarbaaz37 opted for a beautiful transparent green console case.

Full instructions on how to build your own can be found here, but fair warning — it's not that easy. Unless you have real technical chops, we'd recommend waiting for Nintendo to ramp up production and just buy one that's already built. But if you've got the time, patience, and knowledge, building your own Switch is a great way to stay busy.
