The action-adventure RPG Alchemist Adventure recently moved to Steam’s Early Access ahead of it’s impending official release. Developer Bad Minions has stated they plan on a 6-month Early Access period, which means we may expect to see Alchemist Adventure fully in play by the end of the year.

A recent new content teaser post on the game’s Steam community page explained that development is going well, with bugs being fixed and new adventure chapters being worked on. It also showcased a short clip of one of the game’s new monsters, and gave a hint towards a gameplay tip for those already playing the game. All in all, Alchemist Adventure looks to be mixing the correct reagents in proper order to become our next favorite video game.

During its Early Access period, Alchemist Adventure (AA) is priced lower ($11.99) than the full release will be, due to its current unfinished WIP state. The first of AA’s four chapters were playable at the start of Early Access, with the rest being added in individually up until the release date. The devs are inviting and closely monitoring community feedback via Steam, Discord, and social media during this period to help identify bugs and make improvements.

For the uninitiated, Alchemist Adventure is an action-adventure RPG from Bad Minions and publisher Super!com Games. AA puts you in the role of Mya, a young woman who has lost her memories, and was recently awakened by a homunculus. The game is set in the land of Isur, which was once the home of alchemy and the gifted alchemists who practiced the science. Isur is now a devastated realm, and all its people gone. Mya and her new homunculus friend must travel Isur to recover and learn the art of alchemy, along with her memories, to save the land and herself.

Throughout your Alchemist Adventure, you’ll learn how to use the elements of air, earth, fire, and water to explore, solve puzzles, and conquer foes. Along the way, you’ll find other important reagents, alchemical ingredients such as cuprum and nigredo that you can mix with the elements to create various potions, oils, and elixirs. Alchemy use is the core system mechanic of the game, and is free and open to your experimentation, with no predetermined recipes.

Alchemist Adventure is being developed for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. For more info and updates, click over to the game’s Steam page and Twitter channel.
