God of War fans rejoice - Cory Barlog has finally ended his ongoing joke with the community and changed his Twitter bio to "heard of it".

For those unaware, Cory Barlog has constantly teased the God of War community with one saying - "never heard of it". Whenever fans would ask Cory about the God of War sequel, Cory would say that same line every time, even when the sequel had been formally announced by Sony last year.

Over the past few years, Cory has actually gotten pretty inventive with how he's delivered that message, usually in the form of updating his Twitter bio. Before the PlayStation Showcase, he had the phrase spelling out in Klingon, and even earlier before that he had it in the form of Morse Code.

"Never heard of it" has become a big in-joke with the God of War community, with fans waiting for the day that Cory would acknowledge the sequel. Following Ragnarok's official reveal at the PlayStation Showcase, the day has finally come - Cory's Twitter bio now reads "heard of it". The saga is over.

That's not the only thing that Cory did to reveal how much he'd heard of it - straight after the showcase, he posted a video of him wearing a Ragnarok shirt and slowly peeling off some tape to reveal the subtitle.

As much fun as it was to have him playing around so openly with the community, the video did also confirm a long-standing theory that the God of War community has had for some while, that Cory Barlog wouldn't be directing the next God of War, which likely means that he's working on his own thing.

In the years since God of War's release, Cory has changed his Twitter header image and profile picture several times to be space-themed. This has many thinking that Cory is leading his own project, although it's equally as likely that he's simply trolling his audience. At least the God of War community can rest easy knowing that he has indeed heard of it.
