Iron ore deposits are scattered around most islands, so you might think this is an easy mission for you to tick off. You'd be wrong, as ancient iron ore is much harder to come across. This guide will cover everything that you need to know to find Ancient Iron and make an ancient weapon in Craftopia.

How To Find Ancient Iron Ore In Craftopia

Craftopia Starting Island Dungeon

To find ancient iron ore, you need to venture into one of the many dungeons you will find in Craftopia.

Ancient iron ore is a special ore that is only dropped by the Ancient Golem, which can spawn as a boss at the end of dungeons. The Ancient Golem doesn't spawn in every dungeon, so you'll need some luck on your side to find one.

How To Defeat The Ancient Golem In Craftopia

Craftopia Ancient Golem Boss

The Ancient Golem is a boss, so it is usually a much higher level than other enemies that you find early in Craftopia.

We discovered the Golem in a dungeon on the starting island, where most other enemies were between level three and five. The Ancient Golem was level 15, making it much more formidable.

The Ancient Golem is mostly made of rock, so just running up and slashing won't work. Instead, you need to focus your attacks on the blue orb in the centre of its chest.

The best way to deal damage against the Ancient Golem is to use a bow and fire charged arrows into its chest.

If you see the Golem charging up to attack, hide behind one of the pillars and wait for it to finish before attacking again.

If you run out of arrows, you can make more easily in your inventory craft menu. It only takes one log to make a stack of 10 branch arrows.

How To Make Ancient Weapons In Craftopia

Craftopia Using Ancient Iron Sword

When you defeat the Ancient Golem, you will get 40 pieces of ancient iron ore. To make an ancient weapon, you need to take the ancient ore back to your smelting furnace.

When using the furnace, there won't be an option for ancient iron ingots. Instead, just make normal iron ingots. This will still convert any ancient ore you have into an ancient ingot.

To turn these ingots into a weapon, head to the blacksmith and craft an iron weapon using your ancient iron ingots. This will give your weapon the ancient enchantment, raising your max life and stamina.

You can also use ancient iron ingots to make light armor with the ancient enchantment, but you'll also need to gather some leather.
