A solid build is paramount to your success in Crisis Core, especially when factoring in the highly challenging Missions found towards the end of your journey. However, before making the best build for whatever scenario you're in, you must first wholly upgrade your Accessory Slots so you can go into each encounter prepared and ready for whatever tricks are thrown your way.

How To Increase Accessory Slots

Zack Fair Casting Thundaga in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion

At the start of Zack's story in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, he will only have access to two Accessory Slots, giving you very little wiggle room to work with in terms of gearing up and preparing yourself against specific enemies. The good news is that you can earn two additional Accessory Slots, enabling you the ability to equip four different Accessories, giving you a significant advantage in most situations.

But, before doing this, you must first meet a few requirements, which we will touch on below and expand on in more detail in the following section. So, without further ado, let's get into what's needed to get these crucial upgrades that are entirely optional in Crisis Core.

Requirement

  • Reach Chapter 4: An Angel's Dream

Once you have reached the above requirement, you can finally tackle the Missions needed to obtain additional Accessory Slots. However, you will need to tackle a few Missions before the ones required for your upgrades. You can find the Mission Requirements in the table below!

The M7-2 Missions, Precious Things, become available upon reaching Chapter 4. The highlighted Missions above are the ones you will need to complete to obtain additional Accessory Slots. The Keychain and Backpack are the items you're gunning for to increase your Accessory capacity. However, you will need to clear the Mission before them to gain access to them, meaning you must complete M7-2-1, 2-3, and 2-4 in addition to M-7-2-2 and 2-5.

What Should You Equip?

Now that you can equip four pieces of Equipment, what should you place in your newly available Equipment Slots? Well, this varies from Mission to Mission, as you will sometimes have to prevent Instant Death, which will call for the Safety Bit, or may need to avoid being Stopped, which will require the Sprint Shoes.

Nonetheless, some excellent Accessories are in the game for you to mix and match accordingly, and we have several lists and guides to help you out, which we will link below. If you're struggling to counter a specific Debuff or Ailment, there is almost always an Accessory out there that allows you to nullify or lessen its effects, so be on the lookout and constantly manage your loadout based on the challenges and obstacles in front of you.
