SPOILERS FOR CONTENT IN THE CROWN TUNDRA DLC FOR POKEMON SWORD & SHIELD AHEAD!

The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword & Shield is only a few days away and new content for the game has leaked online via a Pokemon Home update.

The Crown Tundra is the second expansion for Pokemon Sword & Shield and it will focus on Legendary Pokemon, many of which never made the cut for the Pokemon Sword & Shield base ga,e. It has been revealed that the Crown Tundra will also add a new Legendary Pokemon named Calyrex. On top of that, the DLC will feature Galarian versions of the Legendary Birds of Kanto and two new Regis.

Content from the Crown Tundra was datamined when the Isle of Armor expansion was released, and new leaks confirm that the revelations from the original datamine were legitimate. Images of new Pokemon — as well as Shiny forms for the new Legendary Pokemon — have been revealed through a Pokemon Home update. According to the Centro Pokemon Leaks Twitter page, there will be two new Legendary Pokemon added in the Crown Tundra DLC. One is a black horse, the other is a white horse. Only the black horse has been fully revealed as of the time of writing.

The blurred out images also confirm that the horses will have some kind of fusion with Calyrex, which was revealed in the original datamine. This was a mechanic introduced in Pokemon Black 2 & White 2, as Reshiram and Zekrom could fuse with Kyurem to make new Pokemon.

The Crown Tundra datamines have been legit so far, as the original Pokedex leaks have all been confirmed via official trailers released by The Pokemon Company. It's possible that Game Freak was saving the reveal of these horses for one final trailer on the day before release. It's also possible that these horses were meant to be a secret. In the past, fans have always been able to datamine games as soon as they're released, revealing all Mythical and Legendary Pokemon hidden in the files. Game Freak almost managed to avoid this fate with the Crown Tundra, as new content is added through online updates, but it wasn't enough to completely insulate the game from leaks.
