Crusader Kings 3 has a brand-new expansion — Royal Court. This is a major update that changes significant details within the game, whether you have the free update or the paid-for Royal Court DLC.
One major gameplay overhaul is that, like Crusader Kings 2's minor titles, there are now new court positions that fall outside your main councillors. Now there are a lot more court positions than just your council, so here's a breakdown of what the main ones do.
Court Positions Explained
There are dozens of new court positions in the Royal Court expansion. These are specialist positions, outside of your council, who also provide various bonuses to you and your realm depending on their Aptitude and relevant trait skills for that job.
There are culture and religion-specific ones (such as Keeper of the Swans - available to kings with English culture and a position in real life that exists to this day), but in terms of the most important ones you’ll want to be hiring:

Court Physician |
A good court physician will cure your character and family of illness. |

Bodyguard |
They can prevent assassination attempts against you. |

Court Jester |
You’ll get some very entertaining events and story chains, which can also reduce your characters’ stress levels. They will also have to wear a silly costume, which is most entertaining. |

Court Tutor |
A good tutor will improve the chances of having positive education outcomes for your children and improve your characters’ chance of learning new languages. |
