Crysis Remastered is almost here, and Xbox One X owners in particular can look forward to a little more choice in their experience. Those players will be able to take advantage of the system’s graphics capabilities once they get their hands on Crysis Remastered.

Crysis was originally released in 2007 as players take control of Jake Dunn (a.k.a. Nomad) as he fights against extraterrestrial threats on a remote island. Another entry in the franchise has been teased for a while on the game’s Twitter page. It was soon revealed to be a remaster of the original game, which has fans excited to get back into the original title that started it all with an updated look.

Crysis Remastered was originally set to release back in July, but faced some delays due to technical issues. After some setbacks, Digital Foundry finally gave a first look at the gameplay for the remastered version of this classic shooter on its official YouTube page. The video also featured a tour of Crytek Studios, the developer of the Crysis games, and some happy news for Xbox One X owners. In this remake, players will be able to play the game in three distinct ways using the full capabilities of the Xbox One X.

The upcoming remastered title will offer different graphic modes on the recent Xbox One system that have three different functions. The game can be played through the Xbox One X’s 4K visual output with 30 fps so that players can get top visuals by sacrificing some of that frame rate. There’s also the option to play in 1080p with 60 fps, still providing some amazing visuals while focusing more on the fast gameplay that comes with this first-person shooter. The third choice is ray tracing that runs on the software to boost the visual quality of the game without losing the frame rate.

More information on the performance of the game will be announced once we get closer to the release date. Crysis Remastered will be available on the Xbox One X along with other platforms on September 18.
