Complexity has officially signed former 100 Thieves star Justin “jks” Savage to its professional CS:GO roster, the American organization announced today. The Australian rifler comes in to replace Owen “oBo” Schlatter, who stepped down from Complexity’s active lineup in late September. Jks will make his Complexity debut in the BLAST Premier Fall Series later this month.

Jks made his name as one of Australia’s best CS:GO players while playing for Renegades. The team reached the play-offs of the IEM Katowice and StarLadder Berlin 2019 Majors before transferring to 100 Thieves in October of that year.

Jks and co. finished second in their first showing under the 100 Thieves banner, losing to Astralis in the IEM Beijing final. The team closed out the year with a 7-8th place finish at the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals. Jks was named the 15th best CS:GO player of 2019 by HLTV, becoming the first and only Australian player to make the Top 20 players list.

100 Thieves placed 5-6th in IEM Katowice 2020, which would end up being one of their only LAN showings of the year. As COVID-19 forced all esports events to transition to online play, 100 Thieves took part in North America-based regional tournaments. The team placed third in DreamHack Masters Spring, 5-6th in ESL One Cologne, and second in ESL Pro League Season 12.

100 Thieves abruptly left the competitive CS:GO scene earlier this month, mainly citing COVID-19-related issues as reason for their departure. Shortly before the organization confirmed its exit, rumors began to surface of jks’s potential move to Complexity. The European-American mix was knocked down to four members after 17-year-old Owen “oBo” Schlatter left the team the month prior.

Complexity has continued to climb up the CS:GO ranks since its revamped roster’s formation last year. Currently standing at 13th in the World Rankings, the team turned heads after finishing 4-6th in the BLAST Premier Spring Series regular season, defeating Astralis and Vitality in the group stage. Complexity later took down Vitality again to win the online European BLAST Spring Final.

Complexity has now confirmed its addition of jks, who will make his debut in the BLAST Premier Fall Series. The team is set to take on Vitality in their opening match of the event, which will take place on October 29th.
