CD Projekt Red has announced a special episode of Night City Wire, primarily dedicated to the upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. However, the studio also hinted it will reveal what's next for Cyberpunk 2077, meaning we might finally get to learn the first details of the upcoming story DLC.
This new episode will be hosted on Tuesday, September 6, at 5 pm CEST. You can check the stream on the studio's official Twitch channel. It's unknown how long the broadcast will be, but previously, each Night City Wire episode was around 20-30 minutes long.
In the accompanying post, CDPR noted that the upcoming anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be in the spotlight, so we can probably expect some new footage and details regarding this project. Created by Studio Trigger, this gory look at life in Night City will air on Netflix September 13, and will consist of ten episodes.
What's more, the studio mentioned it'll finally talk about "what's next for Cyberpunk 2077," and it's just about time we learn something new. According to what we know, the game will be getting one major story expansion sometime in 2023, and the studio earlier teased it'll start showing the upcoming content in late 2022.
For those who don't remember, Night City Wire was a series of streams prior to Cyberpunk 2077's launch back in 2020, that cast light on various aspects of the ambitious RPG. Two years later, fans seem to be ready more than ever for Night City Wire to return with more updates regarding the future of this promising world.
