If you’ve fought your way to the last fight in Beat on the Brat in Cyberpunk 2077, you’re probably wondering whether or not you should accept Coach Fred’s offer to throw the fight. Do you want to risk disappointing Vik? What are the outcomes if you win or throw it? We’ll talk you through it in this guide.

To reach the final fight in Beat on the Brat, you need to have taken out the Champion of Kabuki, the Champion of Arroyo, the Champion of the Glen, and the Champion of the Animals. The Animals one can be cheesed by killing your opponent in the “For My Son” Gig. There’s also a fight against Ozob called Ticking Time Bomb, but that’s completely optional.

Once you’ve done the four main fights, head to Pacifica’s Grand Imperial Mall for the final showdown.

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat on the Brat - Should You Throw The Fight?

Before you start the battle Coach Fred will take you aside and make a proposal - throw the fight to earn some extra coin. Whether you say yes or no, Coach Fred will take a loss as a sign that you decided to throw it and give you the extra money afterward anyway. You can’t retry this encounter if you fail.

If you decide you want to do things properly, you’re in for a difficult slugfest against a Level 35 opponent. Even with Gorilla Arms and a fully specced out body - see our best Cyberpunk 2077 Bruiser build - you will struggle here.

Razor barely takes any damage from punches to the head and you have to try hitting his abdomen. When he charges up for a superman punch, get ready to do two sideways dodges to bring yourself around his back. Use heavy hits to stagger and follow up with light attacks. Eventually, you will wear him down.

If you choose to throw the fight, you earn extra eddies - we know it’s hard to earn cash fast in Cyberpunk 2077 - but you get less Street Cred. If you beat him, you get more Street Cred and less money. Nobody is going to judge you if you want the coin, and you don’t get anything special for winning with honour anyway.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC on GOG.COM, Steam and Epic, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Stadia from December 10, 2020. When you buy Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM, 100% of your money goes to CD PROJEKT Group and supports their future projects.
