Cyberpunk 2077 is not a stealth game. It's not a sniper simulator. It's an action-adventure game. So why not act like it? Techs and smart weapons have their place in the game, but nothing embraces the mayhem of Night City like a power weapon unleashing streams of bullets off the walls and letting the ricochet take care of any remaining enemies.

However, not all power weapons are created equal. The "spray and pray" technique only works if you have a gun that can do a lot of spraying and doesn't need too much praying. That's why it's important to look at the list of power weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 and decide which ones fit your playstyle and which ones are better off getting sold for eddies.

Updated May 27, 2023, by Sean Murray: Cyberpunk 2077 has received more than a few patches, with some of them adjusting existing weapons while others added totally new ones. So we've updated this list to account for those changes and make sure it still represents the very best power weapons Cyberpunk has to offer.

25 Plan B

Plan B Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Constitutional Arms Liberty

Iconic Effect

Fires eddies instead of ammo, higher chance to bleed

Location

Loot from Dexter DeShawn's corpse at the Municipal Landfill in Act II

The gun is already weak on DPS, but when you lose money every time you fire it, that's downright criminal. There is literally no reason to throw away eddies when the game provides you with a never-ending supply of materials to craft as many bullets as you'll ever need. Skip this weapon; your wallet will thank you.

24 Problem Solver

Problem Solver Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

M221 Saratoga

Iconic Effect

85-round magazine, greatly increased fire rate, extreme recoil, terrible bullet spread

Location

Dropped by Wraiths Boss Hunter during mission "Riders on the Storm"

Problem Solver's problem is that it fires so fast that it's barely controllable. Sure, anything in front of you will die, but only if they're right in your face. Medium-range engagements are best avoided with this weapon as even slight taps on the trigger send it into bullet-spewing fury.

23 Doom Doom

Doom Doom Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

DR5 Nova

Iconic Effect

Fires four rounds per shot, increased damage, rate of fire, recoil, and bullet spread, chance to dismember targets

Location

Dropped by Dum Dum during mission "Second Conflict" if killed or incapacitated

Consider Doom Doom as a shotgun masquerading as a revolver. It fires four shots at once and takes a long time to reload, but the effects of this weapon and the ricochet possibilities mean a couple of rounds should be everything you need. So long as your targets aren't too far away, at least.

22 Bloody Maria

Bloody Maria Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

M2038 Tactician

Iconic Effect

High knockdown chance, increased chance to cause bleed and dismember enemies

Location

Complete all Gigs for El Capitan, can be found in V's stash

Sure, it's fun to blast people and watch all their body parts come flying off, but what really makes Bloody Maria worth using is its knockdown effect. You can keep tougher enemies completely stun-locked using this boomstick, although there are more powerful shotguns that can just kill those enemies outright.

21 Sovereign

Sovereign

Base Weapon

DB-4 Igla

Iconic Effect

Fires both barrels while aiming down sights, reduced reload speed and spread

Location

Suspected Organized Crime Activity: Modern Labor Market in Japantown, crafting Spec dropped by Shinobu Amai

Speaking of those more powerful shotguns, Sovereign blasts both shells at the same time when aiming it, so any enemies in the room with you will get ripped up. Just be careful with your aim because of that reduced bullet spread. The reduced reload time is pleasant, though a nice katana likely does better DPS up close.

20 Archangel

Archangel Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

Deals electrical damage, 15% chance to shock, 40% reduced recoil

Location

Obtained from Kerry Eurodyne after mission "A Like Supreme"

Here's a great pistol to have if the scene turns sour. This gun's iconic effect takes care of the revolver's biggest problem; the recoil. This allows for more accurate shots to be fired. That goes hand-in-hand with the electrical damage, since each shot has a chance to shock and stun the targets, both when fired and on the ricochet.

19 The Headsman

The Headsman Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

M2038 Tactician

Iconic Effect

Increases projectiles per shot from 6 to 16, increased chance to dismember and apply bleed, increased reload time, reduced fire rate and clip size

Location

Suspected Organized Crime Activity: Privacy Policy Violation in North Oah, crafting Spec dropped by the Militech mech

There are three penalties applied to this weapon. They don't matter. Almost trippling the number of projectiles on a shotgun is ruinous for your opponents. Close range, mid-range, any range, after the pellets ricochet everywhere, it'll turn even the strongest opponents into swiss cheese.

18 Pride

Pride Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Constitutional Arms Liberty

Iconic Effect

Crit chance increased 10%, headshot damage multiplier increased 50%, 5% chance to stun

Location

Can be found near Rogue's corpse during "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," also provided as an ending reward when returned to "Point of No Return"

Stun effects and power weapons go together like peanut butter and jelly. The headshot damage and crit chance can take down even tough bosses with just a few shots. The major disadvantage here is the very low damage totals, so if this is your cup of tea, make sure to get some practice in at the firing range as those headshots will be needed.

17 Mox

Mox Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Budget Arms Carnage

Iconic Effect

Requires 6 Reflexes rather than 10 Body, reduced reload speed and spread while aiming, fires additional projectiles per shot

Location

On a table inside Judy's apartment after completing mission "Pyramid Song"

The Mox is a fine weapon so long as you understand that it's a precision shotgun. Go for the head and you'll find this gun performs admirably. Mox's problem is that it requires Reflexes instead of Body to use, which means building for Mox means not building for all those other shotgun perks.

16 Hypercritical

Hypercritical Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Rostović Kolac

Iconic Effect

Explosive rounds are guaranteed to knock over opponents, last round in clip always deals crit damage

Location

Given by Tiny Mike during the gig "Concrete Cage Trap"

If you like precision rifles, then the Hypercritical is probably going to be your preferred weapon. It's guaranteed to knock down targets that are hit, and its quick fire rate means you can blow over entire squads without them being able to fire back. Best of all, the last round in each clip is a real showstopper.

15 Amnesty

Amnesty Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

60% increased fire rate, 20% decreased reload speed, 65% decreased bullet spread, 50% decreased aim-down-sight time, 50% reduced recoil, and 25% increased range

Location

Obtained from Cassidy Righter during mission "We Gotta Live Together," complete the bottle shooting challenge

Amnesty is just an all-around better revolver: more accurate, fires and reloads faster, longer-ranged and reduced recoil. You'll feel like a real cowboy while wielding this thing. Amnesty is nothing too exceptional, but if it is the only option, it will beat out non-iconic alternatives.

14 La Chingona Dorada

La Chingona Dorada Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Tsunami Nue

Iconic Effect

Reduced reload, higher chance to inflict burn and stun status effects

Location

El Coyote Cojo bar, can be taken from Jackie's shring the day after the "Heroes" mission

This is Jackie's gun. After firing a few rounds, you'll understand why he's so confident that he will come home after any dangerous situation. The DPS isn't anything to brag about, but the burn chance is high. Combine that with the stun and faster reload time, and you're in for a treat.

13 O'Five

O-Five Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

SPT32 Grad

Iconic Effect

Explosive rounds, chance to light enemies on fire, for each burning target receive bonus crit chance and reload speed

Location

"Beat on the Brat: Arroyo," must have 5 Body to convince Buck to put his sniper rifle up as collateral

Sniper rifles aren't a natural fit for the power weapon genre and this is a good example of why not. Sniper rifles fire slowly and won't really make use of the ricochet since you'll be aiming through a scope. And the chance to apply a burn effect is low, so it really only functions well on guns with bigger clips and fire rates. The explosive rounds are a nice touch, though, so the O'Five is still a better-than-average sniper.

12 Buzzsaw

Buzzsaw Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

DS1 Pulsar

Iconic Effect

Fires piercing projectiles

Location

Dropped by Wraiths Boss Hunter during mission "Riders on the Storm"

The appropriately named Buzzsaw typifies what power weapons are supposed to be all about. The damage is high, the fire rate is higher, and the bullets go through enemy cover. You no longer have to wait for targets to be exposed, just saw them down with this.

11 Kongou

Kongou Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Constitutional Arms Liberty

Iconic Effect

Reduced recoil, slightly reduced magazine, slightly increased fire rate, can ricochet without Ballistic Coprocessor cyberware

Location

Yorinobu Arasaka's apartment, beside his bed, only obtainable during "The Heist"

Players who don't have the cybernetics to pull off a power weapon will take heart in knowing that one of the best power weapons does not have any prerequisites to use. The rate of fire is high, the recoil is low, and the reduced magazine size doesn't matter when targets can't survive a few well-placed bullets from this gun anyhow.

10 Prejudice

Prejudice 2-1 Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

HJSH-18 Masamune

Iconic Effect

Adds ten percent bleed, bullets pierce cover

Location

Behind the bar in the Afterlife, only obtainable during the quest "For Whom The Bell Tolls"

Piercing cover is good. Applying bleed effects is fine. But that damage! Did somebody misplace a digit in the math somewhere? The damage is extreme and assault rifles make great use of the power weapon's special features. It's just too bad that you can't really get this weapon until the very end of the game.

9 Seraph

Seraph Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Constitutional Arms Liberty

Iconic Effect

Additional thermal damage, high chance to cause burn, bullets deal additional damage to burning targets

Location

Complete all Gigs for Padre Sebastian Ibarra, can be found in V's stash

Padre has a mean sidearm. Seraph burns the wicked in holy fire, which is like regular fire but more sanctimonious. It doesn't change the damage, which is high, and gets even higher when you keep blasting at targets that are already ablaze. Work for Padre and you will be well rewarded.

8 Moron Labe

Moron Labe 2-1 Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

M251S Ajax

Iconic Effect

Increased rate of fire, chance to dismember targets

Location

Look spec from leader in Suspected Organized Crime activity in West Wind Estate, requires Edgerunner Artisan Perk

With a name like "Moron Labe," you might be thinking that this gun is a parody and, therefore, a joke. Not at all. The increased fire rate and chance to dismember is fantastic in close quarters; just unload wildly and watch the carnage.

7 Crash

Crash Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

Automatic fire while aiming down sights, 40% reduced recoil, 50% decreased bullet spread, 20% decreased fire rate

Location

Obtained from River Ward during mission "Following the River"

The decreased rate of fire is only applied if using this revolver like a regular gun and shooting one bullet at a time. Aim down the sights, however, and this thing fires like you're fanning the hammer. The increased accuracy will help you maintain control while the weapon quickly discharges all of its shots. As a revolver, only about half of the clip needs to land for the target to go down.

6 Dying Night

Dying Night Cyberpunk 2077

Base Weapon

M-10AF Lexington

Iconic Effect

Headshot damage multiplier increased 50%, reload time decreased 10%

Location

2nd Amendment gun shop, right outside V's apartment

It's incredible that Cyberpunk 2077 just hands you one of the best pistols in the game right off the jump. The increased headshot multiplier makes Dying Night ideal for silent kills, while its fully-automatic fire rate and decreased reload time make it fantastic in a firefight. Use this weapon.
