The majority of characters you meet in CD Projekt Red’s expansive, futuristic RPG are layered, interesting, and complex. Many of them have their own in-depth questlines that take you all across Cyberpunk 2077's map, and some even have the potential to become your romantic partner.
One of these characters is Kerry Eurodyne, a Night City superstar and best friend of Johnny Silverhand. His questline will see you direct your anger at the corpo music industry, before the two of you share a romantic, and somewhat destructive, drink on a yacht.
How To Start Boat Drinks
Starting Boat Drinks requires you to have completed all of Kerry’s previous quests, with the one previous to this being named Off The Leash. For a full guide on how to complete that mission, check out our guide.
Having completed Off The Leash, wait 24 hours and you will get a call from Kerry, telling you of a surprise he has in store for you. The rockerboy will tell you to meet him at a location marked on your map at 7pm.
Once at the location, wait for Kerry to arrive with his boat.
If you wish to romance Kerry in this mission, it is crucial that you have been supportive and reassuring to Kerry throughout his questline. Also, you can only romance Kerry if your V presents as male.
On The Boat
Once on the boat, things play out rather simply, with the crucial moments coming during dialogue.
Sit with Kerry, talk about his past, the missions you have completed together, and your relationship. Don’t forget to enjoy the view of Night City during the journey. As the conversation goes on you will learn more about Johnny as well as the band the two shared. You can pick whichever dialogue choices you like here.
Eventually, the rockerboy will ask you to head inside while explaining who the boat belongs to. Once inside, he will ask if you want to wreck the boat together, destroying the belongings of the music agent that crossed Kerry. Accept this request.
Head around the room, destroying things and learning about them at the same time. Follow Kerry as you do so.
Eventually, if you have followed the steps to romance Kerry, you will have the opportunity to kiss the rockerboy. If you wish to lock in the romance, you must kiss him here.
If your V presents as female, Kerry will turn down your advances
Once the two of you are done destroying the boat, you will sit with Kerry on a beachfront, as the boat burns in the sea.
Once again, if you wish to lock in your romance with Kerry, you must reassure him that your relationship will be a long-term one. If your V is female and you do not wish to romance Kerry, the conversation will play out slightly differently but the quest will still be complete.
From there, your time with Kerry will be complete, but after update 1.5, he will continue to send you texts throughout your time in Night City.
