One of the interesting features in Cyberpunk 2077 is getting the ability to choose how to start the game. Unlike most games that have one direct beginning, Cyberpunk 2077 will offer three different ones: Corporate, Nomad, and Street Kid. Each starting option places the main character at a certain location in the game and influences how the beginning section plays out. To offer more insight on all three starts, Cyberpunk 2077 shared some of the character renders.

In three separate Twitter posts, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account posted images for the male character as well as the female character. On top of the images, the account offered a short description to help fans understand what each start is about and who the character is. For instance, the Corporate start implies that the player is a dirty and crooked character who "exploited secrets and weaponized information." As such, it would be fair to assume that the Corporate start puts you somewhere in charge with some form of power and authority.

Regarding the Street Kid start, players assume the identity of a gang member who grew up on the streets and was raised by "Gangs, fixers, dolls, small-time pushers [...]." In other words, the character will mainly be associated with a life of crime that may very well involve murder, theft, drugs, and other aspects of being a criminal.

Finally, the Twitter account talks about the last start known as Nomad. With this starting option, players will begin in the Badlands (area outside of Night City) with the character "looting scrapyards" and "raiding fuel depots." Furthermore, the Nomad character grows up in a clan that has "Honesty, integrity, and a love of freedom; qualities that few in Night City possess [...]." Based on the description, it's safe to assume that the Nomad is the most honest and fair character out of all three. Still, depending on how the game plays out, that can easily change.

Wit three different starts to choose from, it seems that CDPR is focusing on increasing replay value. Players who choose the Corporate start for example, will most likely be interested in trying out one of the other two starts (or even both) once they beat the game for the first time. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how each of the beginning options plays a role in Cyberpunk 2077.
