This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

It's Thursday night and The Game Awards are in full swing. We just saw more of the upcoming Cyberpunk DLC, Phantom Liberty, a paid expansion that's coming in 2023 and starring Idris Elba and Keeanu Reeves. It's the only one of several promised free updates.

We already knew that this was going to be the first and only piece of Cyberpunk DLC, but now we know a bit more about it. It seems Jonnhy is scheming, probably not happy at still being dead. Idris Elba's character seems central to the plot, but we're not too sure how at the moment. Unfortunately, this will only be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles, not the last-gen consoles that Cyberpunk originally launched on.

It's disappointing to not get a full launch date, as 2023 was pretty much a given, but it seems CD Projekt Red has learned from its past mistakes and won't be promising a release window it can't deliver on. Still, this story DLC will be welcomed by eager fans of the game who have been waiting for more Night City action.

Unfortunately, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners didn't win Best Adaption at The Game Awards, losing to Arcane, so that's the end of the Cyberpunk news tonight.

The big wins at The Game Awards so far have been Christopher Judge picking up Best Performance for his role as Kratos in God of War Ragnarok, and TheGamer favourite Marvel Snap picking up Best Mobile Game.

Judge was unceremoniously rushed off stage with loud music due to his speech running longer than host Geoff Keighley wanted. As an experienced actor, he was treating it like a proper award, giving kudos to his team and those who inspired and encouraged him.

Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok have picked up the most awards so far, and Stray is plodding along close behind. All fairly safe bets so far, apart from Splatoon 3 winning Best Multiplayer Game.
