Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit of a mess right now, and fans are demanding to know what the future holds for the highly anticipated game. CD Projekt Red has told players that updates are coming, but it seems most people want to see a detailed rundown of what to expect – and when to expect it.

A thread on Reddit asking for a roadmap is gathering steam, with over a thousand people chiming in with their two-cents. The original post simply asks for three things – which patches are coming first, what content is getting revamped, and what bugs are getting addressed? The post doesn't ask for a deadline, instead, they simply want to know what CD Projekt Red's priorities are and in what order things will start getting fixed.

To be fair, CD Projekt Red has announced a few specific details about the coming updates, but there's a lot left to the imagination. Getting a roadmap fleshed out that details what issues will be fixed – and in what order – would go a long way in making things right. I'll never quite be able to wrap my head around how Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles was allowed to ship in such terrible condition, but CD Projekt Red needs to do everything it can to fix its mistake.

Most comments reiterate the same thoughts as the original post, saying CD Projekt Red needs to "be honest on what happened" and that the team needs to "regain any semblance of trust" with the community by being fully transparent with their upcoming work. It'll take a long time to rebuild consumer trust after this disaster, but a simple roadmap would be a small step in the right direction.

When Cyberpunk 2077 works properly, it's actually a great game. Our review gave it a perfect score on PC, although things are a different story on PS4 and Xbox One. Subsequent reviews on base consoles have been absolutely scathing, with the game looking and running like a poorly optimized Switch port.
