The Witcher 3 is heavily represented in Cyberpunk 2077, and it seems like a new easter egg is discovered on a weekly basis. Today there's another one we can add to the growing list, as it turns out Ciri is pretty good with a spray can and is tagging the streets of Night City.

Look closely at the graffiti-ridden walls in Cyberpunk 2077 and you'll inevitably come across the tag "Cirilla Cintra Rulez." It's a bit hard to read – thanks to overlapping graffiti and its unique style – but there's no doubt it's talking about Ciri. Whether Ciri herself wrote the message has quickly turned into a massive debate, with fans of the two games quickly choosing sides.

The most reasonable explanation? It's just a fun easter egg – Ciri has never existed in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red is only making a light gesture to its popular IP. Other explanations are a lot more interesting, even if they're less likely to be true. In The Witcher 3, Ciri makes reference to another world, one where people are waging war from a distance and own flying ships. Some people think this means Ciri has actually been to Night City – and while she was there she decided to do a bit of tagging.

Another possible theory is that The Witcher 3 existed in Night City as a video game, and the "Cirilla Cintra Rulez" graffiti was created by a Night City resident that's a fan of the game. That seems more likely than Ciri taking the time to spray paint her name on a wall, but it's all just speculation at this point.

No matter how you cut it, it's always fun to discover little nods like this to other popular titles. The list of easter eggs and references in Cyberpunk 2077 is almost as long as its list of bugs, making it a wild place to explore – you truly never know what's around the next corner.
