Cyberpunk 2077 hotfix 1.06 is now available on Google Stadia, several weeks after launching for PC and console. Google Stadia is arguably the best way to experience CD Projekt Red's latest title, and it's great to see the patch finally make its way to the service.

A surprisingly long list of issues was fixed for Stadia with this update – although none of them are as game-breaking as the 8MB save file limit fixed for PC. Here's a quick list of the changes made to Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia:

  • Improved driving mechanics for story NPCs while V's a passenger.
  • Fixed rare crashes upon loading near end-game saves, and repaired some of the previously broken saves.
  • Weapons should no longer get stuck when using gadgets (such as grenades) or shooting in quick succession.
  • V should no longer randomly get stuck in a Strong Attack position.
  • V should no longer randomly switch to a sprint while crouching forward.
  • Fixed the inability to reload weapons or use grenades and consumables.

More fixes are expected for Cyberpunk 2077 in the coming months, and CD Projekt Red even laid out a detailed roadmap for the content. Two large patches are planned to launch within the next few months, and CDPR said this should take care of the biggest issues with the game. In fact, the first big update should drop by the end of January – hopefully it's a big step forward for the unpolished title.

The rest of 2021 is filled with "multiple updates and improvements," although specifics are still a bit murky. The worst bit of news relates to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, as we won't see the long-awaited next-gen update until the back end of the year.

Most players didn't buy the recent apology sent out by the studio, but we're still hopeful the game will perform better by the end of 2021. For now, Stadia users can enjoy a few minor fixes, as we wait to see what CD Projekt Red works on next.
