Cyberpunk 2077's first and only big expansion, Phantom Liberty, is set to launch at some point this year, but we still know very little about it. However, fans have plenty of ideas on what the DLC could introduce to the game, and how it could send 2077 off in style.

Over on the Cyberpunk subreddit, players are sharing their Phantom Liberty wishlists, pitching ideas for the new story and new gameplay mechanics. And from more interiors, interactive NPCs, vehicle customisation, and chrome, there's no shortage of ideas from the fanbase.

The thread, "What’re your biggest wants/hopes for Phantom Liberty?", is one of the most active in the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit right now, and it's easy to see why. Phantom Liberty is likely to be the final big content expansion for the game, so this is our last chance to see the features we want in 2077.

"When Phantom Liberty gets added to Night City, I hope they secretly add not mentioned random interiors around the rest of the city," says Dionys25, frustrated by the number of inaccessible buildings in the base game.

"And vehicle customization," adds Paul_Antar3s. "Must be able to customise/upgrade vehicle performance and cosmetics!"

Other fans share ideas for customisation options, such as being able to increase the acceleration and top speed of your vehicle. Some suggest letting you kit your car out in chrome like you can do with V, adding thrusters and perhaps even the ability to fly.

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City From The Streets

Overall, many just want the DLC to make Night City feel more alive. "Random events," suggests WrenchTheGoblin. "Red Dead-style living world, maybe. Stuff that just pops up so if you’re walking around Night City it feels like it’s lived in more."

However, perhaps unsurprisingly, one of the most requested features is more romance options. Takemura in particular has a fair amount of fans, with players hoping to hook up with him when the DLC launches. Hell, it would give us a reason to do the Corpo ending, at least.

For now, we'll just have to keep waiting. We have no idea what CD Projekt Red's been cooking up, and it's not even clear when it will launch. But when it does, it will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, skipping last gen.
