Equal parts vibrant and dangerous, Cyberpunk 2077's Night City has just been showcased by CD Projekt Red in a brand new trailer.

The new video, entitled "Postcards from Night City", is packed with personality and flavor. If anything, it simply reinforces how captivating and dangerous Cyberpunk 2077's futuristic setting will be. From dance clubs to strip joints to pierogi stands – it looks like Night City has a little bit of everything for those who prefer after-hours entertainment.

The highly-urbanized metropolis isn't all just familiar nightlife, however. It looks like we'll be able to visit venues that specialize in VR fantasy-escapism (with some help from hallucinogenics and alcohol, of course). Plenty of characters with zany outfits, cybernetic enhancements, and questionable motives bring life to the energetic locale. Holographic neon advertisements, concrete clutter, and blinding lights fill out the fictional Night City, resembling something liken to Katsuhiro Otomo's 1988 movie Akira.

Oh, and the NightCity.love link that's "advertised" in the trailer? It's real. Complete with fake pop-up ads, the website reads like a page that's intended to draw in tourists, boasting of the city's irresistible attractions. By the looks of it, there are seven major districts: City Center, Watson, Heywood, Westbrook, Santo Domingo, Pacifica, and Outskirts. The website provides a small blurb on each, so be sure to study up before release.

Regarding safety, it looks like we don't have to worry. The Night City Policy Department (NCPD) has assured us that "rumors of muggings and acts of gang violence in the back alleys and side streets of Downtown have either been greatly exaggerated or are grossly out of date." We can trust their official statement, I'm sure.

All of the trailer's insanity is presented through the lens of modernized late-night TV showbiz. In fact, the entire trailer features a collage of different hosts, all enticing the listener to jump into the various ecstasies that Night City has to offer. Undoubtedly, we'll have to keep our wits about us when traversing its streets, as the entire charade seems too flippant to come without a price. Consider us engaged though, as CD Projekt Red has clearly crafted a bizarre dystopian world that begs to be explored.
