Cyberpunk 2077 is getting an in-depth photo mode, and it will be ready for launch. Marcin Momot, community lead for CD Projekt Red, confirmed the sought after feature is coming in time for the December 10 release date.

Photo modes are becoming a bit of a standard in big game releases these days. So naturally, folks looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 are curious if the highly-anticipated RPG is getting one. In a specific Twitter conversation, Marcin Momot responded to a fan asking about photo mode details, confirming the game has one.

While Momot is still tight-lipped about the finer details of Cyberpunk 2077's photo mode, he did elaborate on how it'll work a bit. Firstly, you'll be able to pan the camera out to see your character while also changing their pose before taking screenshots. It sounds like the usual features fans expect from a solid photo mode will be there, at least. Though all we can do is speculate for now.

"We will share more details on that before the release," says Momot later in the thread. "I have a feeling you will do some amazing things with it."

Momot was also quick to confirm that the photo mode is coming on day 1, rather than something packed into later updates, which is surprising only because CD Project Red hasn't mentioned it much. Either way, it's good to know the studio is cognizant of how vital features like this are to fans. Here's to hoping the details Momot alluded to reveal themselves soon.

Cyberpunk is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5, and PC early next month after being in development for close to a decade now. Its CD Project Red's first big game since the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came out back in 2015, which is wild to think about. Hopefully, the game lives up to expectations, however sky-high they might be.
