If you're still wondering what perks to unlock first on Cyberpunk 2077's new skill tree, we got you covered.

During 'Play It Safe', you will have to attend a parade hosted by Arasaka Corporation, the very same enemies you and Johnny swore to destroy. However, there's more to it and you need to help Takemura to have a chat with Hanako Arasaka, so here's all you need to know about it.

How To Start Play It Safe

Sometime after finishing 'Gimme Danger', it'll be time to head to the Bazaar in Japantown, where the Arasaka parade will be hosted. Takemura will assist you on the comms to disclose the number of enemies, and once the parade begins, it's time for you to hunt Arasaka soldiers.

You will have to parkour across many balconies and some fragile platforms, with Takemura instructing you on the layout of the buildings as you reach the locations of the three snipers. You must always be as stealthy as possible, and keep in mind that some extra enemies might show up in the vicinity of those locations, so maintaining cover is paramount.

Keep in mind that you have a limited time to take the snipers out, so do not waste time roaming around.

After you're done with the snipers, you will have to find a Netrunner hiding in one of the buildings. Once you arrive at her hideout you will be able to plug her off, but right then Oda will show up and trigger a fight.

Oda Boss Fight

V fighting Oda in Cyberpunk 2077.

The actual battle against Oda is one of the trickiest in the entire game, and there are a few key elements to keep in mind:

  • Oda is weak to electrical damage.
  • Oda’s mask blocks bullets from smart weapons, rendering them almost useless in the fight. However, one stealth attack will destroy his mask, at which point smart weapons are your best bet against him.
  • EMP grenades can knock out Oda’s homing projectiles for a short while, and the Weapon Glitch quickhack is also useful for taking his weapons away from him for a short while.
  • When Oda turns invisible, he’s attempting to heal, but you can use your scanner to track him down by his footprints.

That being said, there’s basically no benefit to killing Oda, as you don't get any kind of reward for finishing him off. However, if you decide to spare his life, the iconic Jinchu-Maru katana can be looted from his body.

After defeating Oda, you must plug into the terminal to help Takemura contact Hanako by disabling a turret, and after a brief cutscene, he will shoot her. This will cause Arasaka to immediately find your location, so you must escape the parade grounds immediately.
