Funny story - a while back, I used the picture in this article on a separate Cyberpunk piece, and someone actually told me it was misrepresentative because texture glitches weren't a problem anymore. To the amazement of many, they were right! NPC textures were actually loading before you spoke to them. Sadly, however, it appears the latest patch could have undone this effort, as texture pop-ins are being reported by players once more.

Over on Reddit, clips are getting shared showing textures pop-in for both NPCs and the environments around them. One of the clips was apparently recorded on a PS4 Pro, suggesting that this isn't just an issue with the base consoles anymore.

"I played on a PS4 Pro and I'll be honest, I really didn't have that many issues at the beginning. Whatever they did in this patch really fucked it up, because now I'm suddenly having so many issues every single place I go. It's super annoying", says Reddit user woomybii.

Another player on PC also says the performance has been made worse by the recent patch, saying "I swear the pop-in wasn't that bad when this game was released!".

This is far from the only issue reported following the launch of patch 1.3. A modder actually had to release a fan-made fix for a crashing issue on PC after the update went live, and others have shared footage of NPC clones grouping together. Whatever the case, something is definitely up with this patch.
