Nvidia shared a bit of behind-the-scenes Cyberpunk 2077 footage earlier today, offering another look at the game running on RTX 30 Series GPUs. It's not the first time we've seen Cyberpunk 2077 running with RTX ON, but the footage does include a bunch of never-before-seen gameplay.
GeForce's RTX 30 Series GPUs are the hottest product on the PC market. They're new, they're powerful, and – they're always sold out. It's unlikely most people will get to run Cyberpunk 2077 on any of those three graphics cards, but damn, does it look good with them installed. Nvidia also mentioned the recommended and minimum requirements for running Cyberpunk 2077 with RTX ON. The lowest card you can get away with is a RTX 2060. This will let you run the game at 1920x1080 with the "Medium Ray Tracing Preset powered by DLSS."
The recommended card is a RTX 3070 or RTX 2080 Ti. Both of these can handle a resolution of 2560x1440 and ray tracing turned up to Ultra. If you manage to snag an RTX 3080 or RTX 3090, you can run Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with the Ultra ray tracing setting turned on.
Nvidia is quick to point out that, while it's difficult to get your hands on a powerful GPU, its GeForce NOW streaming service is readily available to anyone with an internet connection. Best of all, it'll let you stream the game to any computer – regardless of graphics card – with RTX ON. Like all streaming services, however, performance is only as good as your internet connection, and a wired connection is much preferred to running over WiFi.
Cyberpunk 2077 is just a few weeks away, and fans are more than ready to dive into the dystopian streets of Night City. The latest Night City Wire episode gave us a closer look at Johnny Silverhand, the game's soundtrack, and a lengthy new gameplay trailer.
