A new leak suggests that Cyberpunk 2077 might be coming a lot earlier than people expected.

CD Projekt Red tends not to provide firm release dates until they’re very sure they can actually meet them. That’s why even after several years of development we still don’t know when Cyberpunk 2077 will be released--unlike many developers that set unrealistic release dates and then either push them back or release an unfinished product, CD Projekt Red’s attitude is to say “it’ll be ready when it’s ready.”

And according to a new leak, Cyberpunk 2077 might be ready a lot sooner than expected.

A Slovakian game store called Pro Gaming Shop is currently offering pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077. This isn’t particularly remarkable on its face as lots of places are offering pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077 even without knowing when the game will actually be released. What’s remarkable is that Pro Gaming Shop seems to know something that nobody else does.

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming on November 28th, 2019.

Before we go getting everyone’s hopes up, a few hefty grains of salt to consider first. Or maybe more like an entire shaker.

First of all, It seems highly suspect that a single gaming shop in Slovakia knows when Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out when nobody else does. Second, November 28th is Thanksgiving in America, which is not the day to release a game: that would actually be Black Friday, the Friday following Thanksgiving.

Third, we still have received no confirmation from CD Projekt Red when Cyberpunk 2077 is actually scheduled to release. Until we hear from the developers, all bets are off.

What we do know is that Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to this year’s E3, and we’ll likely hear more about it then. And even if we don’t, we’ll at least be able to see what state the game is in and make our own assumptions as to when the game will release.

Until then, a pre-Christmas release sounds like a pretty good date to us.
